Someone kicked in my apartment door and stole a ton of my stuff--including my camera--so I will not be posting for a while. I'll be back when I get a new one, but right now I am working on breaking my lease and moving somewhere else, because I just can't stay there.

Holy cow, I'm so sorry to hear that. :\ I'm not much of a commenter but when reading this I felt like I had to say something. I had an apartment broken into once and my $1500 camera plus all the lenses, etc was taken.
I also live in Dallas and I love the apartment complex I live in. It's the very large group of apartment complexes over near Greenville and Lovers Lane, I'm sure you know the one.
I've been here for over a year and I have no complaints. Security guards patrol on car, foot, and even horse. Yes, horse. If you're interested in further discussion I'd be happy to do so! My email is jezikah@gmail.com if you wish to do so.
I hope that things get better for you and you're able to break your lease with little problems.
Ahh, that is just awful! So scary that things like this happen. At least you weren't home! I wish you all the luck, my dear.

How horrible! My car just got broken into and that ruffled my feathers so I can't even imagine what you're feeling right now. It's such a violation and so scary to think about.
